Winter Reading Program

Every winter and summer my local library has a reading program where you can earn prizes for how many books you read during the program. It’s always fun, but this year it’s different. This year they have “book bingo.” Every square on the bingo card they give you has a “category” for what to read (read a graphic novel, read a classic etc.). Also they have some activities you can do. It looks like fun. Below I am going to list a few of the books I’m planning to read, and what category they’re from.

Read a classic: The Two Towers by J.R.R Tolkien

Read a book by a female author: Wildwood Dancing by Juliet Marillier

Read of book of your choice: Cinder by Marissa Meyer

Re-read a book you love: The Penderwicks by Jeanne Birdsall

Read a classic: Emma by Jane Austen or Nicholas Nickleby by Charles Dickens

Read a book published in 2016: Harry Potter and the Cursed Child by J.K Rowling, Jack Thorne, and John Tiffany

Read a book that was made into a movie: The Return of the King by J.R.R Tolkien

Those are just a few of the books that I’d like to read this winter. 🙂 I hope I get to all of these and more, but there are the highest priority.

What are you planning on reading this winter?
